70-Year-Old Man and His 35-Year-Old Wife Welcome Their First Baby Together

A married couple in Alaska recently celebrated two major milestones in one unforgettable day. Thirty-five-year-old Glenda and her husband Roy welcomed their newborn son on June 6, 2025 — a date that also marked Roy’s 70th birthday. The arrival of their baby boy turned what was already a special occasion into a deeply meaningful double celebration for the family.

The couple’s story began five years ago when Glenda first met Roy while seeking business advice. Roy, who owns an insurance company, offered guidance as she explored launching her own venture. What started as a professional connection quickly developed into a romance, with the pair going on multiple dates within their first week of meeting.

Their relationship progressed rapidly. Just two months after meeting, they decided to move in together. In February 2022, Roy proposed during a Valentine’s Day dinner. Later that year, they exchanged vows in a small wedding ceremony in Anchorage, Alaska, surrounded by approximately 20 close friends and family members.

After marriage, the couple turned their attention to starting a family. In September 2022, they began in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. Roy, who is a prostate cancer survivor, underwent a medical procedure to support the fertility process. Their journey was not without hardship, as Glenda experienced two miscarriages before successfully conceiving during their third IVF attempt in December 2024.

Their son, Roy Briley III, is Roy’s ninth child, as he has eight children from previous marriages. Despite being semi-retired, Roy says he is committed to being present and active in his newborn’s life. He maintains a healthy lifestyle, exercises regularly, and avoids alcohol, emphasizing his desire to remain strong for both his wife and their child.

Glenda has spoken openly about the couple’s 35-year age difference, explaining that their shared goals and similar outlooks on life have strengthened their bond. While some relatives were initially surprised by the relationship, she says most family members have grown supportive over time.

The couple frequently documents their experiences online, where they receive both encouragement and criticism from followers. Supporters often praise their perseverance and love story, while others question their age gap. Nevertheless, Glenda and Roy remain focused on their growing family rather than outside opinions.

Looking ahead, the couple hopes to welcome another child. They plan to begin another IVF cycle in December 2026, determined to continue building the life they envisioned together. For them, the birth of their son represents not only new beginnings but also resilience, love, and commitment across generations.
